Intern--Advertising Sales & Marketing Dept.--College Credit

California Apparel News is looking for interns in our Advertising Sales & Marketing Department.

Please do NOT submit your resume for this position unless you are a CURRENT student and will receive academic credit for this internship. We will not make any exceptions. We are looking for someone who can devote two days a week to working with us.

About us:
California Apparel News has been the voice of the fashion apparel industry for more than 65 years. Located in the heart of the Fashion District in the California Market Center, we are a weekly trade newspaper with a pulse on the fashion industry and all related topics.

We are seeking responsible, proactive and motivated students who are eager to learn and make a meaningful contribution. The ideal applicants will be enthusiastic, great at multi-tasking, have a positive attitude, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong commitment to teamwork.

Our interns will participate in a variety of projects, which may include:
• Contacting businesses to discuss advertising opportunities
• Preparing and sending media kits and packages to current and prospective advertisers
• Distributing publications during markets and trade shows
• Assisting with trade show distribution coordination
• Working directly with Account Executives on various projects and assisting with client relations
• Researching trade shows and markets
• Administrative duties such as faxing, sending emails, etc.

Again, internships are UNPAID and for college students only. You must receive college credit for this internship to be considered.
Hours are flexible! We will work around your school/work schedule. We will review resumes promptly and would like interns to begin early January 2010.
