Unviersity Link Magazine offers an internship program for magazine editors.

Are you considering a career in magazine journalism? Well, we've got the internship for you! Come learn all of the ins and outs of working on a professional, monthly publication under the tutelage of professional editors, art directors and publishers.

Unviersity Link Magazine is an edgy, fun socially conscious 100-page campus glossy written by college students for college students. We launched on a subscription basis in April with Jimmy Fallon on our cover. Our May cover featured Kendra Wilkinson and Jack Black topped June.

Internship duties include:
-shaping the content of the magazine as determined by the publisers and managing editor.
-making sure the freelance writers (with whom the magazine works) complete their articles in a timely fashion.
-strict adherence to magazine deadlines (seriously, you've got to be cool under deadline pressure)
-interating with publicists vis-a-vis stories they are pitching and personalities (i.e. talent, bands and merchants) to whom the magazine wants access
-writing an editor's letter to introduce the issue
-writing captions about them for the cover
-determing pull quotes for articles
-reviewing and determining which beauty products will be featured in the magaine's fashion sections in consultation with publishers, managing editor and art director.

All applicants must have their own computers and where applicable, cameras and must be able to submit articles and photographs as well.
